Jenn Ski the Craigslist hunter!

You would not believe what I found on Craigslist today! I drove about an hour and a half but it was soo worth it! The seller described it as a "Disco Chair" but the correct name is womb chair. The seller told me it was reupholstered about 10 years ago but I really don't mind because I plan on getting it reupholsted in a yellow/mustard wool anyway.

How much was it, you ask? OK, drum roll... I only paid $80 for it!! This is a $2,500-$3,000 chair!!

Now I need to go and find some fantastic fabric for it! Hooray!

  4. That is one Cool chair! It's crazy that you found it for so cheap. Some just don't know what they have. I DIG it! Also, I always loved the yellow/mustard and the Green Golds.

  5. Pardon me while I try to pick my jaw up off of the ground. Some people! Don't you just feel like you can't wait to pay for it, get it out the door, and drive away as fast as you can in case they realize what is going on? Congrats on an amazing find!

  11. Just FYI this chair is a reproduction. The feet are not a womb chairs feet. Still a great find for $80.00 congrats!

  19. this is awesome. Now you just need the footstool to go with it. Better get extra fabric for when you find it.

  20. how do you continually find such good deals on craigslist? Can you be my personal craigslist shopper? I need an ARCO lamp/replica.

  21. i think you should just turn the chair upside down and see who manufactured it. the feet could have been replaced or something.

on CL I scored a reproduction (more like knock off) Eames Lounge chair sans ottoman, and an authentic Eames by Herman Miller LCM chair, both for around $65. LCM chair showed signs that it had been repaired at some point. Still, both look pretty good!
