For those who don't know, I had a children's animal scrapbooking line out last year in Michael's craft stores. Someone asked me about where they could still buy them, so I googled "Actopus to Zelephant" to find sites that were still selling it. Among the results, I found these adorable cupcakes based on my designs. They were made by a fellow blogger that runs Made to Create.
You can still find my Actopus to Zelephant line online on various sites:

Kenneth Wingard wall art

An artist friend of mine, Kevin O'shea, whose home was featured on Design Sponge's Sneak Peak, stopped by my home a little over a month ago. It was so much fun to have him over! Anyway, I mentioned I love the sculpture he has on his wall, and he told me it was made by Kenneth Wingard. I knew about Kenneth's vases but I didn't know about his fab wall sculptures!

Fallingwater

Brad Ford of Design Therapy recently visited Fallingwater back in October. Click here to see more pictures from his blog.
"It's hard to put into words just how spectacular the entire experience was mainly because every single aspect of it was so incredible, from the architecture to the landscape, to the sound of rushing water."

Wall texture

Check out how Jackie from Tiny Decor installed her Inhabit Wall Flats. Fabulous!

A Single Man

I keep hearing good things about A Single Man and I keep seeing good things, by that I mean the images from the set design. It's based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood and the story centers on an English professor who, after the sudden death of his partner tries to go about his typical day in Los Angeles (set in the year 1962).

The movie is set to be released this coming February. Watch the preview it below.

My DIY tray project (before and after)
I've had this plastic tray for sale in my Etsy vintage shop for months, priced at $4. It had a cute asian-looking design, but it had some scratches and I didn't think anyone would ever buy it. Sooo... I gave it a new mod facelift! I sprayed it with red Krylon spray paint and I made some custom vinyl circle decals for the center. I love it now!!

One Creative Girl

I can never get enough of collage artists! I'm always so intrigued when an artist uses old magazine clippings, it's like art inside art. On that note I'm really loving the quirky humor in Mellissa Gable's collage work. Check out more of her work on her Etsy page One Creative Girl.

Santa Cake

I saw this cake on http://curly-wurly.blogspot.com a few years ago and I've always wanted to make it. I'm sure my husband and my dad would love it since it's covered in coconut!

Dynamic Space

My husband was watching the "Kitchen Cabinets Basics" (1 of 9) from the New Yankee Workshop a few night ago and man was I impressed! Last year Norm completely redid a kitchen as part of a 9 part series and in the first part he visits a Dynamic Space kitchen showroom and wow! Their kitchens are so well designed! Check out the video below of Norm exploring my dream kitchen.

The House Next Door
Douglas Coupland, the author of "Generation X," Microserfs" and the upcoming novel "Generation A," renovated a midcentury house in Vancouver, British Columbia, that could technically be called a second home, though it doesn't really provide much of a scenery change: it sits directly behind his primary residence. When the house came on the market, Mr. Coupland saw it as a chance to preserve an architectural style that he says is disappearing. The carport, which houses his Nissan Figaro, is original.
