CB2 I think I love you

I recently got a CB2 catalog in the mail. I think I assumed I was looking through a West Elm catalog at first then when I closed it and looked at the cover and I was stunned to see the CB2 logo. I saw a few things I really liked, for example this desktop mobile. super cute!

Designing a new dining table...

I recently scored a huge 10' sideboard on Craigslist. Now my fugly old Ikea table just looks really sad next to it. So for weeks I've had the idea rolling in my head to get a new glass dining table but everything I see I'm just not that into or its waaay over my budget.

I found an image on Pinterest that got my creative juices flowing. It's of candle holder from the 50's, I just love it and thought something like that would make a cool base. Then I started looking for more ideas...

I still have some other ideas rolling in my head but I love this one so far. Not sure if my welder can do it, but we shall see...

Dining Room Overhaul

Say goodbye to my orange wall...

On a whim I decided to redo my dining room. It all started when I fell in love with West Elm's Glass Disc Chandelier (which sadly is no longer available). From there I moved on to picking a paint color. I really love seeing all the dark colors that West Elm has been using and it really helped me in my decision to go this dark.

I got a gallon of paint from Sherwin Williams, the color is called Blue Peacock. Paint is on sale (30% off) now until the 31st. You can also use this coupon with the sale: $10 off $50 or more.

The wall is painted and the light is up but I still need to pick up a sideboard from Craigslist tomorrow. I'm so excited. I will post pictures soon!

The Guildery: Modshop

I did a collection for a fabric company called the Guildery, the group is called Modshop

For a limited time get free shipping and %20 using the code: PREVIEW

With midcentury-modern-meets-Gatsby glam, this collection creates a powerful statement for a lounge area. The eggshell and smokey green restrains the pinks from getting too sweet. We selected coordinating linens and cottons in similar colors.

Ikea PS collection

Ever since I moved an hour and 20 mins away from my Ikea store I hardly ever go anymore. Plus once you leave the apartment scene you don't really need to buy more of their things, BUT sometimes they do come up with home accessories that get you excited. Something affordable that will give your home an updated look. All these products above are from their PS collection, check them out!

Plastic topiary balls

I visited my local Homegoods recently and I kept finding myself walking past the floral section. Flower wreaths, the moss but then the fake plastic plants made me stop in my tracks. Hmmm, ok, I hate the idea of fake plants but man did I miss seeing green. I thought of the planters by my front door and how I was tired of starring at dead mums.

The balls also have little lights inside them too, I think I'm liking them….

Treasure of the day: Break the ice rug

Was looking for a cute rug for my kitchen and I came across these beauties. Jaipur rugs makes a rug called break the ice. I originally came across the gray version and thought it was stunning, but then when I clicked on the link I saw the color version, what a great mid-century palette.

Consignment booth update: first month's revenue!

Just picked up my check for my August earnings and I'm in the green! All the fun times I had searching through thrift stores near my home has made me $250! So this little venture makes me some nice side money and it really makes me happy, like blissfully happy. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time but never really took that next step and asked for more info, so glad I did. If anyone has any questions don't hesitate.

West Elm: Lubna Chowdhary

Wow, opened a new West Elm catalog and I just love this new series by tile designer Lubna Chowdhary. I'm so happy this 60's/70's tile trend is making a comeback, lucky us!
