Wallpaper and wall art

I've been busy in the kitchen! Ordered some of my Tiki Tok wallpaper from Spoonflower. This was exactly 2 rolls worth of paper. I'm so happy how it turned out!

I also put my husband to work and had him build me some walnut bow tie shapes. I have some extras and have listed them in Etsy shop.

More pictures on Instagram !

Me, make curtains?

Ordered some new fabric samples from Spoonflower.  I'm thinking I might order more for myself and make a curtain for over the sink area and maybe matching placemats. I can sew, but I'm not that great at it. Hopefully I can pull this off, lol

They also do wallpaper. I think sticking some of this Tiki Tok pattern on the opposite wall could be awesome....

Fabric & wallpaper

I have tons of designs I would love to see on fabric. I uploaded my tiki design to Spoonflower, now I'm just patiently waiting for it to be printed and mailed to me. Can't it wait to see what it will look like on linen fabric!

I'm also ordering samples of my designs on wallpaper. I'm going to start ordering new things each week. If it turns out a winner I will start selling it. Also waiting on this one below to show up as wallpaper and fabric.

Be sure to join my Facebook page, I'll be posting designs that I'm uploading to Spoonflower.

New Hallmark card!

I got a surprise in the mail today! Samples of Hallmark cards with my pattern, yippee! The wonderful people at Hallmark grabbed my patten and did a great layout, and the fonts are beautiful. There is also some texture embossing and just a hint of glitter. I'm guessing these are for sale out there, I'll go and check today.

These are part of the Hallmark Mahogany series.
$1.99 (US)
$2.79 (Canada)

Abstract expressionists on U.S. stamps

These stamps became available sometime back in March, but the first time I saw them was at the post office yesterday. I wanted to get a few, but they didn't have anymore. Luckily the lady behind the counter said they would be getting more soon.

The set includes works by Arshile Gorky, Adolph Gottlieb, Hans Hofmann, Wilhem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Robert Motherwell, Barnett Newman, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, and Clyfford Still. USA Philatelic has a list of the paintings here.

Darling Clementine

Darling Clementine, wow! What an amazing range of work! I only wish I could be that experimental. Oh, and did I mention that I love her home? Looks like someone is thrifty. Check out pictures of her home below or see more on www.designspongeonline.com.

IKEA Catalog from 1965

I found these images over at another blog ikketikketheo.wordpress.com.

"My parents like to keep the annual IKEA catalogs – it says it is the most printed book (edit: printed publication) after the bible. Yesterday my mum showed me this…. the IKEA catalog from the year 1965."

Wedding Invitations

I spent Friday and this morning putting together wedding invites for my friend Jennie's wedding. I had fun designing it for her because she likes many of the colors that I love and she adores the 40's and 50's era. Her theme is vintage elegance and her colors are sea foam green, peachy pink and soft yellow.

Floyd seems to like them too...
