New at West Elm

I love going to West Elm's website and checking out their beautifully decorated rooms. I Also I really like how they're using yellows accents this spring, it's so bright and cheery and one of my favorite colors now. But I'm not liking the Moroccan style on some of the furniture and accents this year, it gives off this Pier One vibe.

jenn-thanks for your early morning design post! I love all the sites and sources you lead us to. But here's a question--what's wrong with Pier One? I have a couple of great lamps from them--and an ottoman that I can't live without. tell me!

Yes... that's exactly what I thought... Pier 1. I'm with you on the Moroccan style:(
The colorful circle painting in the top picture really speaks to me.

It does appear that yellow is the hot color this year. It's funny - yellow used to be one of my least favorite colors in design (love it in the garden though). I've really warmed to yellow the past few years and now I think it can be a fantastic accent.

when I was in high school/college I really liked Pier One, but now I'm not much of a fan. I'm sure if I went inside one I would find something I liked but it's just not my thing anymore (Papasan, Wicker & Rattan) and I was never really happy about the quality of their items.

But I must say few years ago they had some amazing pink and red x-mass ornaments I went gaga over.
