I think this may be the answer to my dinning room/ living room privacy needs in the warmer months. I just love that clean glowing look that you get with roller blinds. The picture below is of my living room, I don't really have close neighbors that can peak in but it would to have something there. I'm not sure if I want something sheer so I can see the trees outside or something thicker that won't let people see in at night. Hmmmm....

Gorgeous family room! I grew up in a home with a similar feel- all windows. It actually really creeped me out at night knowing someone could be looking in and I would have no idea... just sayin?
it used to really bother me but now I'm used to it.
We have roller blinds and I think they are great. Super functional and beautiful when light streams in.

I grew u[ in a house where the TV room was all windows, including behind the couch. Late night alien specials on TV combined with those windows freaked me out many, many times.
If it doesn't bother you "being seen", I think some sheers would be so gorgeous and luminescent! Best of both worlds that way....P.S. I saw your Doggy and Kitty prints in white lucite frames (I'mm pretty sure they're yours??) the otherday at Marshall's and wanted them sooo bad for my son's room, but I'm between paydays so they'll have to wait :( I already have your alphabet flash cards on his wall in an organic pattern with thumbtacks and I LOVE them!

Yes! I even took a pic with my iPhone to show hubby if you want me to email it to you! You know how Marshall's is, a mish-mash of everything so I hope you find them near you! I'm all the way in Louisiana--how did they make it here???

Beautiful room! I grew up in a house with a room like this in Manchester. We weren't in the woods, so my mother chose vertical blinds. I like your room without any treatments.
We've also got the roller blinds. They're great in MCM homes.
Sorry I'm so late to comment! I have the same dilemma in my place and have just solved it. We're going with dual bracket roller blinds on all our windows so that we can have sheer blinds during the day for some privacy/insulation/glare reduction, and then use the block-out option at night for complete privacy.

A well decorated furnished room. My bedroom has blue and white Roman shades with roller blinds.
I also like your family room because it look amazing and beautiful.
I want to buy some roller blinds for my kitchen windows and door. I also want to re-paint my kitchen and adjust wooden cabinets on walls.
