Floyd hasn't had anymore adventures with that turkey, but he did get up close and personal with a skunk last night.
When I first smelled that skunky odor coming through the windows my first reaction was "oh no, Mr. Floyd!" We went to the front door and there was our scared little kitty. My husband let him in and he went to his comfort zone, his food bowl. At first I thought he was OK, but nope: He had this foamy drool coming from his mouth from all the sneezing/throwing up, his eyes looked sore and red and he had a big yellow stain under his neck. MMM! I washed him with a hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and soap mixture. He still stinks a little and now my shower smells. Yuck! But he does feel silky soft - just with a skunky musk.

oh nooo! He doesn't look very happy! :(
Poor kitty! Stinky but okay, right?
Oh, my! Poor dear..
That happened to a dog I knew when I was little. What a MESS that was!If I remember correctly (but I was like 10 years old) there were many jars of spaghetti sauce involved.
I think tomato juice is supposed to do trick with the smell.
poor little dude... hope he airs out soon.
geez, getting skunked is a drag. best wishes to Mr Floyd.
Wow...never seen a cat look so sad and pitiful! Poor Floyd! Hope that you'll be able to get rid of the stench.
I've heard that a mouthwash bath works quite well!
oh no poor kitty!! yup, my friends said tomato juice works wonders...although i imagine that it's easier to bathe a dog than it is a cat.
