Argh! I would love to go to this show!!
My mom came to the states from Poland when she was in her late teens with her parents. When I was young they spoke it around me all the time, and still do. I think it never stuck because my dad was born here and didn't understand a word. I can pick up on the gist of a conversation, but maybe If I went there on vacation and immersed myself... nah probably not.

I feel the same way about french. My mother emigrated from Belgium when she was 9 but my grandparents and her used to speak it all the time (so she wouldn't forget).
Mum tried to teach me briefly but she didn't know how and so today I know none. Apart from how to say 'Hello. My name is...', that is.
Amazing! Look at those chairs. I'm drooling.
