It's soo big, and I LOVE IT!

My husband still needs to get all the doors on, but wow... What an amazing piece! To help you get a better understanding of how big this monster is take a look at the next picture... (I'm 5'7" by the way). After almost killing myself getting it off the moving truck its now safe in my home.

I've been saving that blank canvas for awhile now, going to paint something for the space! I'm so pumped!

Woah! That's a massive piece -- and a beautiful one! Looks like you'll have plenty of storage in it too. I don't think I have a wall in my house big enough for furniture like that! It must be heavy!

Thanks Kate! Yeah I'm really surprised I was able to move it at all. I guess I didn't know my own strength!

This is so beautiful! I'd love to know the story behind it - where you found it, what year it's (probably) from, the brand, etc.? Congrats on the find!

The owner has had it since the 70's, he bought it from someone in NY. He used to have some paperwork on it, but has since lost it. The hinges are german and it does have a logo on it but I still don't know the year or company name :(
