No more wonky Jenn Ski sketches, time for some real computer mock ups. (Note the color of the cabinets is going to be much darker.) 

So there will be an updated kitchen and an updated laundry area, Whoopdeedoo! I had originally thought of building a wall in front of the laundry area but now it's going to be a bookcase cabinet that will match the rest of the kitchen. Cook books will finally have a good home and the laundry area is going to be hidden away from the rest of the kitchen!! I'm so excited!! I've been in my home for 5 years now and it's something I've wanted to do since I moved in. IT'S TIME!

Back in March, I had started to rip out the cabinets in the laundry area and for some reason I started to paint the wall black and then just gave up. My kitchen looks horrible at the moment, I need to sand the ceiling, paint it white and probably the walls white too. I keep thinking a light gray walls but then keep going back to white. We shall see.
